Medan Tuanku Monorail
The Medan Tuanku monorail station is only 300 meters from the residence or a 7-minute easy walk.
The monorail does a loop of the inner part of the city and you can use it to get to the following places:
Chow Kit - Great for exploring an old part of the city and discovering street markets.
Bukit Bintang - The shopping capital of Kuala Lumpur. You can also walk to Jalan Alor for amazing street food and fantastic ambience
Berjaya Times Square - This shopping mall features an indoor theme park
KL Sentral - This is the public rail hub of the Klang Valley, Connect to most places of interest from here.
Dang Wangi LRT
The Dang Wangi LRT Station is 450 meters from the residence or a 10-minute walk.
This LRT line (called the Kelana Jaya line) has a much larger footprint than monorail and gets you to the following places of interest:
KLCC & The Petronas Twin Towers
Masjid Jamek - This old part of the city is where Kuala Lumpur began. Great for walking and taking pictures
Pasar Seni - The Central Market is an iconic market featuring local crafts. Chinatown is also walking distance from here.
KL Sentral - This is the public rail hub of the Klang Valley,
Grab Car is the regionl equivalent of Uber. You can use Grab Car to easily get to anywhere from the residence.
It takes roughly 5-minues in non-peak hours to get a Grab Car.
The cost for getting to most attractions in the city should not exceed RM7.00 in off-peak hours. During peak hours, the rates may go up significantly.
A cost effective solution during peak hours is to use the monorail or LRT. You will also save a lot of time being stuck in traffic.
